Party at the Pumkin Patch!

We met up with a slew of Eli's buddies today at the fabulous pumpkin patch/festival/corn maze today. Eli and Julia were wowed by Inara's Elmo costume. Eli's finger is finding its way to his nose a lot lately - especially when the camera's out. Luckily it hasn't found its way to his mouth...yet.
Amos. A Mouse.
Da boys.

Delicious.

Poor Amos. Seven week olds get very little say.
Eli was not loving the photo shoot either.
Look out little mouse!
He was trying to show me all his spidey legs.

Found one.

Love this one!

Freedom from the hot spider outfit! His hair was all sweaty curly afterword. So cute.
And now to the corn maze.
It was an autumnally wonderful day - altough it was seventysome degrees. We Decker-Smiths love the fall. The boys had a blast and are now napping away. We came away with four fabulous pumpkins, and not the ones that were brought in to supplement the ones that grew right there in the patch. We hiked way out to find pumkins that spouted and bloomed right there on the ground where we stood. They're perfectly warty and green blotched with curly viney stems. Perfecto!

Six Week Cuteness and Big Boy Fun

Make fun of my hat and I'll poundjya.

AG is getting super smiley lately. We love that little gummy grin.

Snoozin' while Eli was in the swings. Amos, like Eli, loves to be outside. He almost always takes a sweet little peaceful nap when we go out, which is at least twice daily.
First bottle! He took it like a pro.
And then snuggled down to sleep.
I am universally adored around here. Apartment 308 is a regular mutual admiration society meeting.
Matching robot goodness!!! Love it!
One sleeps...one wrestles.
Sweet Eli was a sicky all weekend. Eventually though we just had to get some fresh air. That's his "I'm sick and pitiful but still cute" outfit.
Elmo slippers are the best medicine.
As are autumnal crafts. We have been working on his "yeaf board" for a while now, but there was a flurry of leaf gluing the other afternoon and now the masterpiece is complete.
And we made cookies and took them to our apartment buddies for a fun Halloween treat. Eli insisted in "carrying" the bag. Cookies...crumbs...all good.
Gram gave in-utero Amos this sweet little giraffe that plays rock-a-bye baby. The other morning I was showcasing it to Amos and Eli claimed it. It's been getting more snuggles than Harry lately. Sacrilidge!
Big news! Eli got a super cool race car big boy bed!
Bigger news: he sleeps in it!
Check out the sweet matching monkey jammies from Yaya. Super cute!

Days and Days of Birthday Fun!

We've had a blast of a week, celebrating sweet Eli's 2nd birthday. It's unbelievable that this amazing being has been with us for two years now. What fun it has been. Last year's turtle Halloween costume resurfaced a few days ago. Look at that long legged turtle!
Thursday was party prep day, so the boys and I stayed home all day. They played while I got things ready for the festivities. Eli helped me bathe sweet Amos.

Yum!
Amos' crib has become a prime play spot. Eli sets up camp in there and loves for me to put all his critters in there with him to party.
He loves the bird mobile.

We baked cupcakes for his class on Friday. He is now a spoon-licking pro. Spoon...bowl...whisk...whatever.
Birthday boy!
We did most of our present opening on our bed. The four of us would pile up there and let him open a few. Here he's reading his card from Grandma and Grandpa Decker. He LOVED the Bob card and the great puzzle. Thanks guys! This morning - which is no longer his birthday - he climbed up on our bed and said "Open Presents?" Uh oh.
He went to school on his birthday with cupcakes and crown. It was fabulous.
Today we had his birthday party in the park. It was a smashing success. I was so thankful to see how many wonderful friends he/we have made. The park was full of Eli's buddies and they all had a grand time!

Singing and cake time was the sweetest sight. Everyone gathered around him (really close, those kids wanted to be as close to the cake as possible!). and sang. He was so cute and smiley and proud.
He got the best little sheepish grin on his face while we sang. Priceless.
Mmmm cake!

Then he was back off to play!

Whee! Our tiny Eli is 2. And our tiny Amos is 5 weeks. Wow. What lucky folk we are.
