We're having loads of fun in N.C. Gram's house is oodles of fun to explore. Eli has gone up and down her stairs (carpeted unlike ours, easier on the knees) at least two hundred times. And has learned to hoist himself up onto her couch (no longer does he need to do his "up please" grunts routine. He's upwardly mobile. Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dennis loaned us their truck so we wouldn't have to rent a car. It doubles as a very large playpen. Eli loves it.
Good times.
Lo, there in the forest, I hearest a crow. KaKAH.
Peek-a-boo!
Wheeee!
Yesterday we had a lovely visit with Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandmother and some old friends from Biltmore Church. Grandfather got plenty of exercise humoring Eli and his stair climbing obsession.
Thank goodness for landings. Striking the same pose and everything!
Even strangers got in on the fun. Turns out people living in retirement communities LOVE having baby visitors.
Eli would rather be playing with Great-Grandfather.
Best buddies!
Admiring the festive view.
Then we took a walk from the dining hall up to the Great-Grandparent's house.
They had nothing more fun than a box of rocks, which turns out to be really really fun.
We took a quick stop at La Paz for an afternoon snack. Eli was punchy.
We gave him a lemon to distract him. He made faces, but devoured it. That's entertainment!

That lemon had been soaked in sweet tea, I bet!
Any chance you'll be swinging through NYC on the way back home?? ;)
Oh wait, you're flying. Boo.
