The Eli and Amos Show

Frequently we end up having discussions about how every phase of having kids seems like the best one, until the next one comes along. (That may be because we haven't gotten to the teenage stage of having kids). Right now seems like one of those times. A hilarious 2 year old (prone to toddler tantrums, but otherwise brilliant and charming), and a 4 month old too, just figuring out what his hands are, gnawing on everything, and smiling at anything that moves. Sometimes it feels like we have two jesters living with us, sent for our entertainment only.

Then somebody poops, and it's back to reality.

Here are some scenes from our own private show.

Peek-a-boo never gets old for Eli. It goes like this: he covers his face (either with his hands or by pulling his shirt up). We pretend not to know where he went. Where's Eli? Where did he go? He was just here! Then he reveals his face, giggles, and does it all over again.
Having some applesauce.

This was Amos' first experiment with rice cereal. He was not too impressed.

He warmed up to it.

Jessa did a bit of light construction to get the jump-up hung in the apartment. Amos is in love. Note the debris at his feet.
He looks like an Irish step dancer. His legs flail about as if independent from his body!
He gnaws on it a lot. That little section is already well-gnawed by Eli.
Amos is doing this more and more (as you will soon see): falling asleep in the middle of something. Not that we mind.
This was a sweet brother moment. Eli got this "Cars" cup for Christmas, and he decided that sleeping Amos should hold it.
Playing under the basketball goal.

We like this shot, because it looks like Amos is getting a ball to the face and Eli is in the process of falling/flailing/otherwise flopping around.

And finally, this video. It's my first foray into video editing on the new Mac, and while it's not the greatest, it was a lot of fun. I think we can expect more of these in the future.

I dare you to watch it and not feel sleepy.
