Playdate

Eli's buddy Luca and Amos' lady friend Elsa came over today for the standard Eli and Amos' house playdate. It goes like this:
We play in our apartment and on the porch/sandbox.
We wander on campus.
We eat at Mustard's Last Stand.
We get icecream at Ben and Jerry's.

Pretty sweet right? Don't worry. You're invited to the next one.Sweethearts.

Elsa dancing with Mama Courtney.

These boys are in a fabulous phase where they continually crack each other up. It's fabulous.

Yes Amos?

Both their expressions say a lot here.

Yum!

Eli and Luca like to go to work. They pack up the little car box and say, "We're going to work. See you when we get home." Such good work ethic.

House full of happy boys. And Elsa.

Amos is such a lovey little bundle right now. He's perfect. I know he's only 10 months, but I swear he's about to walk. He's always been physically adept. Even in my belly he got where he wanted to get.

Bet you $20 he walks before a year (I don't say that from a competitive place. I think you lose the need to baby compare after the first born.).

Thursday's Dose of Silly

Eli and his fav friend Christa and his fav new activity, climbing on things to freak out his parents.
My new fav thing - sewing Eli crazy pants with oversized butt pockets!
Fun blue crazy cords!
Just plain silly.
We had a day long fun extravaganza with friends Gillian, Violet and Oliver. We went to the breakfast foods and played all day. Poor Eli had to make some calls while we were playing - a boy's work is never done.
Found a shoe in the cereal bowl.
Eli tramples a big kid. He never saw that little blue butt coming.
Getting sleepy.
Eli decided to put on the wrap/pack like Mama.
And it was exhausting...
He wore it all over the breakfast foods.
Even onto the waffle.
Chillin in my sweet ride.
More climbing.
Pumpkin fest - can I eat it?
Pumpkin dance.
And then, I swear, he organized them, pumpkins and gourds. It was amazing.

Breakfast and Boo!

The fancy mall in Denver has a fabulous breakfast food play area for the kiddos. The foods and floor are a little squishy, so head bumps don't hurt too bad, and they clean them twice a day, which is very reassuring considering the mob of snotty kids constantly playing on them. For the past two Tuesdays Eli and I have joined some friends there for morning play and then lunch. I hope it becomes a weekly ritual.Eggs, sunny side up. Berries.
Mmmm, waffles.
Eggs and soysage.
Veggie bacon slide.
Sluuurrrp. Big bowl o' shredded wheat. I just have one question - Where's the butter biscuit?
Breakfast play is exhausting. Zzzzz.
No surface is safe. Here are the latest rub on transfer victims. Megan's computer.
Megan's computer keyboard.
My computer keyboard.
The printer.
And now....BOOO! Eli's new glow in the dark skeleton jammies.

Bones ridin' the hippo. Scary.

A fun coupla days...

The weather in Denver is beautiful these days. And we've had a string of fun play date invitations. We have made some great baby friends and they are so fun to play with. Today we went swimming at Inara's.
This is after Eli lost interest in the pool.
He loved the pool so much! He splashed, jumped to me off the side (is it "jumping" if he starts from his hiney?), and played in this little boat.
And yesterday we had a "Welcome back from Australian Shana and Inara" party at Shasta and Christopher's. Here, Eli is scavenging on one of the other baby's lunch leftovers.
Swinging with Inara! When last we saw Inara, two months ago before they left for Oz, she was just beginning to walk and knew a few words. Now she is a walking wiz and talks up a storm! She even learned to say Eli and Jessa in just a few tries!
Christopher has a fun sand/water table with BLUE SAND! Grace is showing Eli how it works. Eli is confused by her blue hands.
Eli believes he was wronged. Notice the accusatory point.
And now...the tube.

Sup Inara?
Jacob's gonna getchya!
Then, Mama/Nanny Kim mesmerized all the babies with her hilarious tube antics.
Boo!
