Pumpkin Patch 2010

Saturday we made our 3rd annual trek to the Pumpkin Festival at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. We had to brave the crowds and schlepping without Dad this year, but I did get to park in handicapped parking, so that made it easier. And some lovely friends met us there, so that made it even better.

Eli's official costume wasn't ready yet, but we just happen to have on hand a pair of Aztec jaguar jammies the fella brought home from the British Museum. That'll work. So I whipped up a jaguar hood to go with...and Eli actually wore it.

He was a little too well camouflaged in the corn.
Amos revived the vintage tortoise look, circa 2008.

Sweethearts Jon and Christa came too. They were such fun and a huge help!

What fun! Happy almost Halloween!

The boys and I are on our own this week. Eric's been in N.C. since Tuesday and gets home Monday. We've missed him like crazy but have done pretty well for ourselves. We've discovered google video chat this week and have enjoyed chatting with him. It kinda freaks Eli out though. Our buddy and ex-roommate Christa came over last night for dinner and laziness. She held Amos so I could do some two-handed work around the house. I was finally able to finish the ridiculous furniture rearrange that I foolishly took on day before yesterday during nap time. At one point I had to text one of our friends from the building because I had pinned myself in and needed an extra set of hands to move an 8 foot wooden table. But I was able to muscle everything else in to their new spots and it looks pretty good. And now Amos' crib is now beside our bed so he has spent the last two nights in there. It's so cute!

Thursday's Dose of Silly

We had a day long fun extravaganza with friends Gillian, Violet and Oliver. We went to the breakfast foods and played all day. Poor Eli had to make some calls while we were playing - a boy's work is never done.
