Wanna Buy Us Some Stuff?

The good thing about expecting a second boy (confirmed at our appointment the other day, by the way) is that we have about 97% of what we need. We got lots of stuff for Eli the first time around, and most of it is still here, ready for use the next time around (a few poo stains notwithstanding).

There are a few things we could still use, though, and since some of you might not be able to resist the urge to buy our new kid some stuff, we thought we could at least point you in the right direction. So we've done a very small registry at Babies "R" Us, mostly for stuff we now need that we didn't need the first time around. If you go to the Babies "R" Us website and search for one of our names or Registry # 40047361, you'll find it. Basically, it's:

--a second car seat for Eli, since he'll be in Eric's vehicle much more often now
--a compact swing for TB, for our compact apartment
--a second base for TB's car seat, so he can sit in either of our vehicles
--some BPA-free bottles (the whole BPA thing has blown up since Eli was using bottles)
--a second "noise machine" for TB's crib
--a mattress pad for TB's crib
--a changing table pad for TB, so we can change him in our room without waking Eli up in his
--some pacifiers

Also, if anyone is feeling SUPER generous, we'd love a double Bob Revolution stroller. We have the single Bob Revolution, and it's an amazingly wonderful stroller. It's worth every penny; you spend less on the one Bob than you do on the whole series of strollers that work for 2 months and break, forcing you to buy a new one. They don't sell these at Babies "R" Us, but they do at REI. Click here for the link. Warning: sticker shock ahead. We have the single one that we can sell, so the actual price would be more like half as much as the list price. We also have a membership at REI and get discounts a few times a year, so if we time it right it might not be so bad.

And that's basically it. It's not really traditional to buy people gifts for second babies, so we're not really expecting people to buy us stuff. But if you're the kind of person who just can't help yourself, here are some places to start!

3 weeks and 3 days left!

What, you don't want one of those strollers where kid #2 is essentially riding in the storage space under the seat of the older sibling? :)
