Amos the Yogi and Other Adventues

Ignore the schmutz on the arm of the couch, and check out Eli and Amos. They're almost touching! Eli keeps a safe distance from Amos most of the time, but he talks about him so sweetly. He wonders aloud about him and laughs at his little baby antics. Oh so sweet.
On Saturday we joined some buddies and went to the corn maze.

Inara gave Eli an unexpected hug...
and this was his face just after the embrace. Classic.
The fam.
Amos snoozed through the maze but Eli loved it. We stuck to the Mini Maze instead of braving the main huge maze which, I kid you not, had a life-guard on a stand to help locate lost people. Eli did the Mini Maze over and over and over.

After the corn maze, tiny ice-cream cones.

A few nights ago we took Gram, Eric's mom, to see the fish pond on campus.
Eli thought it would be funny to feed the fish his cookie.

Amos was perplexed.
And now, the many zen poses of Yogi Amos:

Above is my personal favorite.

These fabulous goodies came from the talented Mary Allison, who made the kimono and nursing mother block print. Thanks M.A.!Amos thought he looked quite smashing in his kimono.
Eli's post nap ensemble: Cape and snow boots...and nothing else.
Tonight we had a lovely little storm. He enjoyed an evening of puddle jumping in his jammies and snow boots.
In other news, tonight we were putting Eli to bed in regular fashion. Eric was in his room reading books in the rocking chair. I came in to kiss him goodnight. Eli booted Eric out of the chair and climbed up in it himself. Eric and I dutifully sat on the floor and ottoman and listened to him as he picked up book after book and read to us as we have to him every night since he was Amos' size. He has definitely been paying attention. We were amazed and totally entertained.

Also, Amos rolled over tonight. He had the benefits of a slight incline...but still.

Our boys are crazy smart.
