N.C. Visit Episode 1

Eric, Eli, and I decided last week to take a trip to N.C. So Friday, we hopped on a plane and flew down. On our way to the airport we had a little lunch with our friend Brian, who was visiting us in Denver and who's flight left five minutes after ours did.
Eli spent most of lunch engaged in serious lion love.
"Jelly Cat, you sit right here."
Monkey got in on the action too.
We survived the flight relatively unscathed. I carried Eli in the front pack, where he wiggled and played and slept (yay)! Upon arrival, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dennis fetched us from the airport and took us to their house to let us eat and let Eli wiggle before we got back in the car to go to Gram's. Eli had a blast at their house and they were thoroughly entertained by his constant fits of laughter. He guffawed at their big horse dog, Buddy, and followed Ms. Kitty around the house whisper roaring at her. It was just what he needed before being strapped in the carseat for another bought of transportation.
We got to Gram's safely and slept in Saturday morning. Then Eli, Eric, and Gram took off for Highlands to see the Great-Grandparents, Moo and Poppie. I ventured out to Banner Elk to celebrate Selena's Big 3-0. It was great fun, and I survived my first night away from Eli ever.
Being Silly.
Dazed and drooling.
Oooo, I see a firetruck.
Eli had a big time with his Great-Grandparents and Great Aunt and Great Uncle. Everyone got down on his level.
Eli reports, "Aunt Joann and Gram are great fun."
After a quick trip to Bakersville to see Tommy and check out his show, I came down the mountain to be reunited with my boys. We were all so happy to see each other.

More N.C. adventures to come. Stay tuned...
