One For The Road

We've spent the day so far sleeping, eating, and sleeping in preparation for going home. We're thinking about hitting the road sometime early afternoon, in the next couple of hours. There will be LOTS of pictures to see then.

In the meantime, here's the only one we have in the camera that's not been posted yet. This is my new favorite thing...napping with Eli. This is what we did this morning from about 6:45 to 8, after Eli got his heel stuck for genetic testing. We consoled each other on the bed.

We're just about ready to go. We'll talk to everyone from home.

Yay for newborn screenings! Coincidentally, today is G's 9-year biochemical genetics check-up. =0)

Sleeping with babies is good times ... unless they're learning to sleep through the night without a diaper*. F, I'm lookin' at you.

*Tip: Large, rubber-backed bathmats work well for this! So does limiting liquids a couple of hours before bed, but you trade this for the never-ending stream of "Does milk/lemonade/ice cream/pizza/etc. make you pee?"

Eric and Jessa,
There is nothing like the feel of your sweet baby asleep beside you. After 23 years the memories and emotions are still vivid. Enjoy.
Congrats-
Jacque

Hey guys! Everyone looks great. I know you're happy to be home. I notice jessa has that new mommy "I've just been given the answers to all the secrets in the universe" look in her eyes now. You'll always have that look. It's just that in about 16 years it will be separated by the giant crease running down your head. Love Auntie Lisa
