Finally, some real news to report: At the appointment this morning, things were moving along pretty well (3cm, 80% effaced). We've scheduled an induction for Monday the 8th (which happens to be my brother's birthday). So if nothing has happened by Monday, we'll check in at the hospital and they'll start giving hormones to induce labor, and he should be here by the 9th at the latest.
But most people involved--Jessa, Jessa's mom (who knows about these things), the midwife--most people think it won't be that long. 3cm is apparently pretty good for a first-time mom who's not in active labor. So we'll see. We're continuing our regimen of labor-inducing things (spicy food, walks, etc). So stay tuned.
On an exciting note, it's supposed to snow here Saturday. So that could be interesting.

Congrats on all of the good news! How exciting and it definitely won't be long now. This week is a great week for a birthday!
Well, I guess my dreams of a baby born on my birthday didn't pan out... Here's hoping for good news in the next few days! Yeah!!!
